Racers Against Drugs Events in 2001
Children'sEvent
Dec. 12: Childrens Hospital Visit
A group of drivers put on their driver's suits and visited San Diego's Children's Hospital. The drivers had a good time talking to the kids and the children loved it too.
Community Event
Nov. 17: Mother Goose Parade
Racers Against Drugs Participated in El Cajon, California's Mother Goose Parade which kicks off the Christmas season in San Diego County. In California, only the Rose Parade is bigger.
RAD brought 10 race cars on decorated trailers and carried a den of cub scouts along with each car.

Red Ribbon Week Events
Drug education events were held at the following schools:
Oct. 22nd: Cajon Valley Middle School
Oct. 23rd: Bostonia Elementary School
Oct. 24th: Madison Elementary
Oct. 25th: Monte Vista High School
Oct. 26th: Live Oak Middle School

Community Organizations
Oct. 5th: Rancho Penasquitos Cub Scouts
Sept. 12th: Fallbrook Boys and Girls Club
Community Event
July 14th: Channel 10 Leadership Day
A big event put on by San Diego's KGTV. Organizations were present from Alzheimer's awareness groups to groups fighting domestic violence.

RAD was proud to have a car from from the stable of NASCAR Winston Cup racer Brett Bodine on hand.

June 20, 2001: El Cajon Cruise Night.
There was a dragster along with the dirt track race cars and paved track race cars representing Racers Against Drugs at El Cajon's Cruise night on June 20. 
There were 19 cars in all as RAD took it's message to the public.
School Events
May 31st, 2001: Heartland Christian Homeschool Center
We had cars from 3 different classes  and 5 speakers (drivers) at Heartland for the event.
May 18th,2001: Grossmont High School.
We had a great time at our Racers Against Drugs event May 18th at Grossmont High School. A huge thanks to Ray Burns and Bob Meese for spending their day with the kids.  A good time was had by all.
Community Event
April 28, 2001: Boy and Cub Scout Jamboree

RAD was a huge success at the Scout Fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. 

RAD was represented by Blake and Steve Svendrowski with Blake's Junior Dragster and by Barto with his Dwarf Car. 

There were hundreds of kids present and RAD was one of the most popular groups there. 

RAD was interviewed by North County Cable News, Channel 30.
